We went to Papa Nick last night and were lucky to have Ado as our server! We made reservations through Facebook messenger, so we did not have to wait, although there appeared to be plenty of seating. Our table was next to huge windows overlooking a beautiful grassy hill.
Ado took our drink and appetizer orders and brought our bread, and he warned us that service might be a little slower due to them just opening and working out issues. He also told us that everything, including the bread and sauces, were made in-house. We had bruschetta first. The bread on it was a little thickly cut, but it was homemade and delicious. I ordered the Papa's Pasta, and my husband ordered the filet. We both had salads. My pasta was great - you choose your noodles (I chose penne, per Ado's recommendation), and it came with red sauce, chicken, and garlic bread. The steak was high quality beef cooked to a perfect medium rare.
We didn't stay for dessert this time, but we are looking forward to coming back soon and trying them! -

This Place is Family owned and operated! It was a much needed addition into the City of Denison. This is by far the best place to have dinner in Denison TX. My wife and I have become regulars here and are in love with the food; it's absolutely amazing! If you are a Steak eater this place is a must visit. Keep in mind they have just opened recently so they are not supper fast yet; so please be patient.

We thoroughly enjoyed this place! I'm not sure why it is only a 3. Dinner came in around $60. It would easily have been double, if not more, in Houston. Hubby and I shared the mussels, ceasar salad, ny strip, okra, and au gratin potatoes. It was all excellent! Bread is fresh baked daily and was good. The mussels were exceptional! Good quantity, and terrific flavor of rosemary and garlic in the butter wine sauce. Very light cream. Ceasar was nice and tangy, and they split it for us. Also split the steak for us. We added the mushroom sauce. Steak was a perfect medium rare. This place is a winner! Baklava to go, because we had no room left! Baklava flavor was great, but it was a little soggy. Only complaint is the minimalist wine menu; however, we both found something and enjoyed it. The place has a terrific atmosphere. Very serene, and has lovely views. Well worth a visit!

I'm from Los Angeles. Didn't expect to find this in Denison. No disrespect Denison..much love for Denison. Great food, great service (shout out to Forest) and lovely atmosphere. Save room for desert...but it will be hard because of generous portions. Highly recommended.
